SUMMER BLAST… OPPORTUNITY

I recently posted about DOORS OF OPPORTUNITIES… This past week, BEHIND THE SCENES, we had a door of opportunity (wrapped up in a ‘roadblock’ package) present itself to us that I’m PUMPED to share with you.

As you know, we have our AMAZING, MIND-BLOWING BAPTISM CELEBRATION at Keller Pointe(KP) this weekend (details here). Monday, we received a desperate call letting us know that KP had made a bad clerical mistake & triple booked our event!!! There was NOTHING we could have done to prepare for this surprise. The staff mobilized with incredible speed and creativity trying to prepare for an “OPTION B” while also working with KP to find a good resolution for their mistake.

A LONG STORY SHORT: We didn’t need an OPTION B after all! We were able to work it out with one of the other parties (orthodontics practice) to share the beginning of our event with them. God began to show us CLEARLY that this was HIS PLAN from the beginning!

What came out of a door closing and another door opening:

  1. The opportunity to influence hundreds of people that live in our community. A chance to invite them to Keystone. A chance to show them what a real celebration looks like. Keystone spirit!
  2. Indoor pool now available
  3. Concession Stand now open
  4. Free pizza for all of us.
  5. Open extra hours until 10pm for just Keystone
  6. Ability to use more of the facility for our event.

INCREDIBLE. God opened a door for us to make new friends and invite them to Keystone WHILE he improved the event for us!

Make sure you are there! Sign up for baptism if you haven’t already… it will be HISTORIC!

BAPTISM CELEBRATION!!!

I am SO PUMPED about our baptism celebration this weekend at the Keller Pointe!

I just talked to Eric and he informed me that we were adding more 2B baptized almost daily!

I can’t wait to see all of the Keystoners + family & friends as we do canonballs for Jesus!

Doors of Opportunities

In life we make so many plans. Every great undertaking I have ever witnessed has been riddles with roadblocks, distractions, or detours.

This has been true in Keystone Church! Through our four years, there have been countless surprises. Whenever this happens, I am careful to ask these questions:

* Is this a test (of our will, resolve, commitment, etc)?
* Is a door CLOSING so that another (better) door OPENS?
* How could the fame of God & his great mission for creation be furthered through this situation?

Our baptism celebration is a great example of one door closing so another door opens! More on that later

Are there other questions you might ask when you face surprises?
